Betty White's Off Their Rockers Brings In Decent Ratings

While MTV recently revived Punk’d, which features young celebrities pranking each other, NBC’s also dabbling in prank entertainment with Betty White’s new series Betty White’s Off Their Rockers. The series, which features older people playing pranks on young people, debuted last night, earning the time slot its largest audience since last year’s Christmas in Rockefeller Center.

TV Line shared the news, stating that Off Their Rockers drew in 7.2 million total viewers, with a 1.8 rating. That’s definitely not bad, considering the series faced strong competition, debuting against the first half-hour of Fox’s American Idol performance episode. Betty White’s show wasn’t the only new series premiering on NBC last night. Scripted comedy Best Friends Forever also premiered last night, earning 3.9 million viewers with a 1.2 rating.

Scoring bigger numbers all around were Fox’s American Idol with 16.7 million, CBS’ Survivor with 10.1 million, and CBS’ Criminal Minds and CSI with 11.23 million and 11.9 million respectively. While CSI was up from last week, Idol’s 4.7 rating was down from last week.
