This morning I had a short sit-down interview with Chris Pratt for his new film Moneyball, in which he suits up tight white pants and a jersey to play Oakland A's first baseman Scott Hatteberg. It's the most significant movie role Pratt has had since breaking on the wonderful NBC sitcom Parks & Recreation, and of course while sitting down with him I couldn't help but think about his character on the show, Andy Dwyer. We talked a lot about Moneyball, and how he prepared to play not just a baseball player, but a real person. And near the end we talked a little about Parks & Rec, including how the show's writers have started basing Andy on him, and a small reveal of what we might be able to expect on the show's upcoming Halloween episode.
For that brief segment of the interview, check out the short video below. There will be much more from that came of closer to when Moneyball hits theaters on September 23.
