Anger Management just made its debut on FX, bringing Charlie Sheen back to the small screen in his first post-Two and a Half Men starring role on television. The series got off to a solid start on the cable channel, earning itself 5.74 million viewers for its debut. Whether or not it manages to maintain a good percentage of that audience going forward remains to be seen. And now it looks like it'll eventually have the opportunity to build a viewership overseas as well.

The Hollywood Reporter shared the news that Comedy Central UK has acquired the rights to air Anger Management across the pond. The British channel got the rights from Lionsgate International and aims to get the show onto its Fall schedule. As the site notes, the series, which could end up getting a 90-episode order tacked onto the initial 10 episodes ordered, is already prepped to be a world traveler, having been sold into Canada, Latin America, Germany, Scandinavia, Benelux, Australia, New Zealand and Poland. And it's fitting that it should end up at Comedy Central in the U.K., as that's where Two and a Half Men airs there.

Anger Management has Sheen playing an anger management therapist with anger issues of his own. He's also got his hands full with the women in his life, including his daughter Sam (Daniela Bobadilla), ex-wife Jennifer (Shawnee Smith) and friend/colleague/bed-mate Kate (Selma Blair). From what I've seen of the series so far, I'm thinking the multi-camera comedy will appeal to Two and a Half Men fans in general. If there's an audience for the CBS series over in the U.K., it seems likely that there will be one for Anger Management as well.
