With Fox's upfront presentation set to take place tomorrow, we may hear official confirmation on the status of the two empty judges' seats for the upcoming second season of the U.S. version of The X Factor. Rumor has it, Britney Spears is locked in to fill one chair, and now comes word that the other judge is also in place with a deal signed.

We learned last week that Britney Spears had reportedly signed a $15 million deal to serve as judge for the second season of the Fox singing competition The X Factor. Fox has yet to officially confirm that news, but rumor has it, Spears will be in New York City tomorrow to announce that she's joining the show. TMZ is also reporting that Demi Lovato is set to fill the last vacant judges chair. Should this prove to be the case, Lovato and Spears join LA Reid and Simon Cowell, taking over the two seats vacated by Season 1 judges Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul.

Lovato, who had starring roles in the Camp Rock movies, as well as Disney's sitcom Sonny with a Chance, has also released a number of studio albums in recent years. She and Miley Cyrus were both rumored to be contenders for the last available judging position on The X Factor.

I expect Lovato to be a big draw for younger viewers. On one hand, I have to wonder if she's had enough years in the industry to really be able to contribute something as a mentor and a judge on the series. On the other hand, at nineteen years old, she could be just the right thing for the show, representing the younger voice at the judges table, which might actually add something different to The X Factor than what we're seeing on other singing competitions. We'll have to wait and see what's confirmed tomorrow.
