If I were to guess what the sister of True Blood’s dopey detective Andy might be like, I'm not sure I would have pictured Courtney Ford. It seems the actress who played a recurring role in Dexter last season is set to join True Blood for Season 4.

Ford’s TV credits include a recent role on the CW’s The Vampire Diaries, which certainly helps her qualifications for this next job. According to Deadline, Ford will join HBO’s True Blood to play Portia Bellefleur. She’s described as a Southern beauty who runs her own law practice and also happens to be Andy’s sister. It's hard to picture the insecure Andy with a beautiful and presumably successful attorney for a sister. Still, It'll be interesting to see how she fits into the story.

While Ford has a number of TV credits to her name, Dexter fans will recognize her from her role as reporter Christina Hill, Quinn’s love interest last season. Things didn’t end well for her character. Hill’s also the wife of the dreamy Brandon Routh (Chuck, Superman Returns).
