Eureka! We have clips!

“Eureka,” which airs tonight on the Sci-Fi channel, looks like a quirky comedy just offbeat enough to be right up my alley. The advertising pitch has been that “in a town full of geniuses, the only guy who can keep things normal is the only normal guy in town,” which makes the show look like a grown up version of “Eerie, Indiana.” Having been one of the three people who liked “Eerie,” I’m very interested in “Eureka,” although I fear that similarity might be the death knell for the show, considering “Eerie” wasn’t well received and wound up with quite a short life. Hopefully appearing on a more focused genre channel will give “Eureka” time to find its legs. After all, this is the channel that carried “The Chronicle” for 22 episodes.

If you haven’t made up your mind about checking out “Eureka” you might want to take a look at these clips. The first is a brief featurette about Eureka itself. The second is about a genius invention known as the “cryokennel” and the third is about one of the town’s more mysterious residents, a little chap known as Bigfoot.

Catch the clips below. Watch “Eureka” on Sci-Fi at 9pm tonight.
