Family Guy Reunites Star Trek TNG Cast For Spoof Episode

If you’re a Star Trek fan and a Family Guy fan then you’re in for a big treat. This Sunday night the popular primetime animated comedy series Family Guy is going to spoof Star Trek. What’s more, they’ve got the Star Trek: The Next Generation cast to lend their voices to the episode. Spoilers ahead!

Here’s the information Fox listed about the episode, titled “Not All Dogs Go To Heaven”:

“Stewie builds a transporter and beams the entire cast of Star Trek: The Next Generation to his bedroom so they can spend a fun-filled day together in Quahog in the "Not All Dogs Go To Heaven" episode of FAMILY GUY airing Sunday, March 29 (9:00-9:30 PM ET/PT) on FOX. Guest voices by the cast of Star Trek: The Next Generation including Patrick Stewart, Levar Burton, Gates McFadden, Michael Dorn, Wil Wheaton, Denise Crosby, Marina Sirtis, Brent Spiner and Jonathan Frakes.”

E! Online’s Kristin Dos Santos got more information from series show runner David Goodman about the plot of the episode, stating:

“There are two stories going on in the episode," explains David, who appears as a Star Trek geek, er, fan in the convention scene. "One story involves Meg and Brian. Meg finds God. And she finds religion and is giving Brian a hard time for his atheism."

The second story involves Stewie and the family going to the Star Trek convention. According to Goodman, when Stewie doesn't get his question answered, "He buys plans for a transporter and beams the cast into his room."”

Sounds like Stewie's living the Trekkie dream.

Family Guy airs on Sunday nights at 9:00 PM ET on Fox.
