Fox To Give Away Cool Poe-Themed T-Shirt For The Following At SDCC
Comic Con is going to be jam-packed with TV shows featured in panels at the San Diego set event this year, among them is Fox's promising looking serial-killer drama starring Kevin Bacon, The Following, which is set for a panel for Saturday. Fox is also acknowledging the midseason thriller with a t-shirt, and those who have seen the trailer might make the connection between the shirt and the series (and a certain well known American poet).
Entertainment Weekly shared the following (heh) photo of the t-shirt Fox will be giving out at their booth (#4313) at SDCC on Sunday.
The t-shirt uses every inch of its space to quote (or quoth) The Raven, Edgar Allen Poe's classic narrative. As Poe's work plays a role in the series - specifically in the inspiration of the serial killer on which the show focuses - the shirt is a fitting tie-in to the show. In fact, it mimics the body-art shown on a girl featured in the trailer for the series. You can see her at about the 1:40 mark:
EW also says that creator Kevin Williamson and stars Kevin Bacon and James Purefoy will be singing autographs at the Fox booth on Sunday.
Kevin Williamson's The Following is one of the series I'm looking forward to most, and of the pilots I've seen for the upcoming 2012-2013 season, it's high on my list of favorites. You can read more about the series here.
