Comedy Central's been good to Amy Schumer. The comedian has been featured in numerous Comedy Central Roasts a stand-up special, and more recently, she got her own comedy series on the cable channel. The show is currently amidst its first season and Comedy Central has announced that they've renewed it for a second, which they expect to get on the air next year.

Co-created by Schumer and Daniel Powell, Inside Amy Schumer premiered last month and stars Schumer, who appears in the scripted vignettes, stand-up comedy and man-on-the-street interviews that comprise the comedy, which aims to tackle real issues like sex, love and life in general. In addition to Schumer, the first season has featured appearances by Jon Glaser, Michael Showalter, Amber Tamblyn, Michael Ian Black, Rob Schneider, Abby Elliott, Tig Notaro, Tom Papa, Lisa Lampanelli, Dave Attell, Will Janowtiz, Nikki Glaser, Sara Schaefer and Missi Pile. Comedy Central says Season 2 of Inside Amy Schumer will consist of ten episodes, which will air in 2014. The renewal follows previously renewed series Nathan for You and The Jeselnik Offensive, as well as Kroll Show.

So, fans of the series have another season to look forward to. In the meantime, Season 1 is still underway. Here's a clip from tonight's episode, which has Amy learning that one of her show's writers, Tig Notaro, has cancer, which is bad news for Tig, but it works out well for Schumer, who's always looking for a good excuse...

Inside Amy Schumer airs Tuesdays at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT on Comedy Central.
