Jamie Dornan Returning To Once Upon A Time This Weekend

ABC’s Once Upon a Time will be a blast from the past this weekend and Sheriff Graham fans will certainly have a reason to rejoice. Jamie Dornan is headed back to ABC’s hit fairytale-oriented drama to reprise his role as the not-so-good sheriff. We know exactly how the show will integrate the deceased Sheriff Graham into the plot, but if you don’t want to know how it's going to happen, stop reading now.

Dornan will return to Once Upon a Time in an episode that will flashback to the origins of Storybrooke, Maine. The actor recently told THR that the flashback will actually go 28 years into the past and will look at the first day of the curse, when Sheriff Graham was just getting used to his role as the police and was just learning to take orders from Regina. In Storybrooke, jumping back in time is all about the details.

“Storybrooke is pretty much almost identical to how we see it up to this point. It’s the first day of the curse, so essentially nothing really changes from that point onwards. There’s a few references to the fact that it’s 20 years before. They have been quite clever with putting in some music that’s on in the background at Granny’s, that lets the audience know that we’re dealing with a different time. It’s fascinating to see, from the first day of the curse, Regina had total control—especially over Graham.”

Once Upon a Time has booked some surprising guest stars, including Lost’s Jorge Garcia and The X-Files’ Annabeth Gish , but none are as much of a surprise as Dornan’s reappearance. The man stood up to Regina back in Season 1 and paid for it with his life, an epic TV moment that made our list of Best Death honorable mentions back in 2011. I can’t wait to see what he is able to bring to the table in his guest starring role.

Once Upon A Time airs Sundays on ABC at 8 p.m. EST.
