As the schedule indicates, Justified is first on the line-up, returning to FX in January for Season 5. Here’s what FX shared about the new season:
This season, Deputy U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens (Timothy Olyphant) confronts the Crowes, a deadly, lawless family from Florida intent on settling in Harlan with new criminal enterprises in mind. Meanwhile, Boyd Crowder (Walton Goggins) struggles to free his imprisoned fiancée Ava (Joelle Carter) as he partners with the Dixie Mafia’s Wynn Duffy (Jere Burns).
Later that month, FX will air Chozen, an animated comedy that was supposed to air on FXX but then moved to FX to join Archer on its new night.
Chozen is an animated comedy about its title character, “Chozen,” a gay white rapper fresh out of prison. Armed with a new message, Chozen is on a quest for redemption and to claim his rightful position as the world’s top rap artist. His music and lyrics take aim at the stereotypes of machismo and misogyny that is synonymous with rap music. And his new world view has been shaped by his time in prison. The voice cast features Bobby Moynihan, Hannibal Buress, Michael Pena, Nick Swardson, Kathryn Hahn, and Method Man. Grant Dekernion, who created Chozen, serves as Writer/Executive Producer of the series, and Tom Brady serves as Executive Producer/Showrunner. Danny McBride, Jody Hill, David Gordon Green, and Brandon James from Rough House Pictures (Eastbound & Down) are Executive Producers. Adam Reed and Matt Thompson of Floyd County Productions (Archer) are Executive Producers and their company will animate the series. FX has ordered 13 episodes of Chozen. The series is produced by FX Productions.
We learned last week that FXX would be airing Ali G: Rezurection, a series that will feature English episodes of Da Ali G Show, including the ones that didn’t air in the U.S., which will include new original introductions starring Sacha Baron Cohen. This semi-new series will be paired with the second season of Legit, which is moving over to FXX from FX. Created by and starring Jim Jefferies, the series centers on an edgy, foul-mouthed stand-up comedian from Australia who’s trying to make his life and work more legit, aided with the help of his best friend Steve (Dan Bakkedahl) and Steve’s brother Billy (DJ Qualls), a guy suffering from advanced staged Muscular Dystrophy.
