Kourtney And Kim Take New York Premieres To High Ratings

After a rollercoaster week of E! scrapping the Kardashian Kristmas special and the Kardashians claiming no such special existed, we finally reached this week’s Kardashian zenith: the arrival of the new season of Kourtney and Kim Take New York. If there were any expectations on anyone’s end the new season of the Keeping Up With The Kardashians spinoff would be a dud, those expectations were very wrong. Kourtney and Kim Take New York premiered Sunday night to its highest ratings for a premiere, ever.

Sunday night’s show brought in 3.2 million viewers. Of that 3.2 million, a whopping 2.3 million were in the 18-49 demographic, showing a gain of 8%. According to THR, the episode marks one of the highest rated for women on the network, ever. If I had to bet though, most of the highest rated programs for women on E! would include a Kardashian or two. Do note there have been episodes, programs, and premieres featuring the Kardashians that have done better than last nights premiere – namely, a couple of episodes of Keeping Up With The Kardashians and Kim’s wedding special.

Still, it’s looking good for the new season of Kourtney And Kim Take New York. Sunday’s episode featured some more infighting between Kourtney and her baby daddy, Scott. There was also a naked yoga session on Kim’s end, supposedly prompting the whole divorce hullabaloo. Once all of the press craziness dies down, who knows if the ratings will stay solid? Although, I can pretty well guarantee people will be interested when Kim starts dating an athlete, again.
