Life's Too Short Preview: Ricky Gervais' Comedy Series Premieres On HBO This Sunday

For those of us who have been looking forward to Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant new series Life’s Too Short, the wait is nearly over. The comedy premiered last year in the U.K. and will make its debut on this side of the pond on HBO this Sunday night.

Life’s Too Short follows a similar faux-documentary formant, much like Gervais’ The Office, except in this case, the series is a look at a fictionalized version of actor Warwick Davis (Willow, Harry Potter) as he tries to get his career moving again. Based on the trailer below and the title of the series, a lot of short-jokes are likely to be featured.

Here’s a video that takes a look behind the scenes of the series. From the looks of it, a lot of laughs were had during the making of the show.

Guest stars include actors Johnny Depp, Liam Neeson, Helena Bonham Carter, and Steve Carell. Sting and the ever charismatic (and beautiful) So You Think You Can Dance host Kat Deeley are also set to guest star. As a Ricky Gervais fan, I’ll definitely be tuning in to check this out when it premieres Sunday night. The series begins its 7-episode run on Sunday, February 19th at 10:30 p.m. ET.
