While Jersey Shore may be long gone, the remnants of the reality series linger at MTV. The latest offshoot of the popular unscripted series has the gregarious Vinny Guadagnino inviting celebrities into his family's home where they'll interact with the Italian American family for our viewing enjoyment. It's actually a pretty original idea, by comparison to the other spinoffs we've seen from Jersey Shore so far, and from what the trailers have revealed, Vinny's family is willing to get into the act, even if it means being hosed down with glitter.
The Show With Vinny sets itself from your typical reality show - which might otherwise have followed Vinny around with cameras, trying to make something interesting out of whatever he has going on in his life - by having the Jersey Shore star interview celebrities in his home. Arguably the nicest guy in the Jersey Shore house, Vinny seems like the right man to host a show like this. And from what we've seen of his family on Jersey Shore, the show appears to be custom made to suit the Guadagnino household, where eating is encouraged and there's plenty of laughs to go around.
Among the stars set to visit the Staten Island household are Mark Wahlberg, Lil Wayne, Ke$ha, Jenny McCarthy, A$AP Rocky, Whitney Cummings, Scott Disick, Anhtony Mackie, Ciara, Austin Mahone, Brittany Snow, Kat Graham, Red Foo, Iggy Azalea, Perez Hilton, Victoria Justice, The Saturdays, Jenna Marbles, Eric Mena, MGK, Bella Thorn, Mindless Behavior and Tyler The Creator. Needless to say, the stars are turning up for this show, and it's quite a diverse group, which should make for some interesting and unpredictable visits.
The Show With Vinny will premiere Thursday, May 2 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on MTV.
