Do you stay awake at night wishing you knew everything there is to know about the fictional town of Pawnee, Indiana? Well, you soon can with the newest book from Leslie Knope, the town's Deputy Director of the Department of Parks and Recreation, called Pawnee: The Greatest Town in America.

Zap2It notes that "NBC and Hyperion Books have announced the publication of 'Pawnee: The Greatest Town in America,' a 240-page book," that was written by Amy Poehler's go getting character on the NBC comedy Parks and Recreation. I can't help but make comparisons with The Daily Show's similar efforts (especially America: The Book, since P:TGTIA's cover looks almost exactly the same) which I found both informative, if you crave fake-news, and hilarious. Hopefully this account of the fictional town is just as funny as their Comedy Central counter-part and infused with that special something that makes me love the show.

Pawnee: The Greatest Town in America will be in stores on October 4, 2011 (to closely coincide with the return of Parks and Recreation for their fourth season this fall, Thursdays on NBC).
