Normally, at this time of year I’d be dedicating a portion of my Monday nights to watching Jack Bauer kick some terrorist ass on 24. Unfortunately, due to the writers strike, we’ve been deprived the Bauer Power Hour this year. Strangely enough though, I’ve barely noticed the lack of 24-ness on my TV on Monday nights because I’ve gotten completely caught up in Fox’s new series, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

Does anyone else think Summer Glau makes an awesome Terminator? Sadly, the first season of SCC is coming to an end this Monday in what Fox is calling a two-hour season finale. What it really is, according to the listings, is two episodes airing back to back, almost as though Fox is in a rush to get the season over with. Perhaps the network is just eager to premiere their new series, Canterbury’s Law, which will take over the timeslot starting next Monday. Regardless, if you’ve been watching Sarah Connor Chronicles, be sure to tune in at 8 p.m. on Monday night for the finale. The episodes are titled “Vick’s Chip” and “What He Beheld.” They’ll wrap up the season as we see what happens when John and Derek bump heads over whether or not Cameron’s trustworthy.

The fate of the series is still up in the air and word is, the series is on the bubble right now.. Hopefully it’ll get renewed for a new season. I think it has some real potential if the story is given the chance to develop a bit more.

Here’s a preview video of the finale:
