The awesomeness of this article is pretty well summed up in the headline. It's the cast of NBC's hilarious, wonderful sitcom Community, illustrated as The Avengers. The drawing was commissioned from illustrator Chris Schweizer, posted on his blog (where you can download it in many different sizes) and linked over at The Hollywood Reporter because it's a slow pre-holiday news day, so why not?

I'm no comic book expert my any means, but I even I can appreciate the brilliance of Jeff Winger done up as Iron Man, or Pierce hulking out with his pudgy stomach (I wonder how the Hulk would deal with rolling around in a breath-powered wheelchair?) I also love Schweitzer's explanation in the comments of why he made Britta Thor: "I was trying to think of a good female character that would fit her and realized pretty quickly that Britta (as a character) would have been furious at being so pigeonholed." Geeks all over the world can celebrate two of their best, favorite things coming together on this very special day.
