The Two Coreys Will Return

Things weren’t good in Corey-land when the Haim/Feldman reality show The Two Coreys wrapped up its first season last year. From the first episode it was somewhat apparent that the rift between the two former mega-stars and once inseparable duo was still present. Not only did Haim’s sloppy laid-back attitude and occasional disregard for boundaries often cause tension in the house, but the big fight at the end of the season seemed to be a pretty major indication that this little reunion had run its course.

After Feldman and Haim’s feud, it seemed unlikely that the two would even consider doing another season of the A&E reality series. Then again, nothing says ratings like a little bit of drama, right? And nothing says comeback like a hit reality TV series. According to the Reporter, A&E is bringing back the series for a second season. Despite the fact that execs have said Haim and Feldman haven’t spoken to one another since the end of the first season, they have both apparently agreed to reunite (again) and see if they can reconcile their differences.

Of the series, A&E’s Robert Sharenow says, “The first season of the show exposed some deep-seated issues between the Coreys, which really only started coming to the surface in the final episodes. This season promises more drama, tension and laughs as they struggle to make their relationship and careers work.”

Was I alone in feeling awkward and a little bit sad when watching The Two Coreys? It’s not as though I expected Haim and Feldman to be instant pals again and back on top of their games career-wise within the first few weeks of the first season but between the ever-apparent tension between Haim and Feldman added to the realization that Hollywood doesn’t seem all that interested in a Corey-comeback, the first season of the show was more frustrating than it was fun. Perhaps when the new season starts up and they reunite again, we’ll see some progress in their relationship as well as their careers. Don’t get me wrong; the new season doesn’t have to be all happiness, success and laughter. I’m just not sure I’m up for another season of constant breakdowns and awkward arguments.
