This Week In Home Entertainment: Anchorman 2, Fargo, 47 Ronin And More
If there is anything that three versions of a film on one disc should tell you, itís that director Adam McKay shot a ton of extra footage for the film. Even more footage is available on the disc through extras as varied as gag reels, more than one line-o-rama and extended, deleted and alternate scenes.

Weekend Box Office: The Hobbit Threepeats Number One, 47 Ronin Makes Bid for Biggest Bomb of 2013
There were four new wide release movies dumped into theaters for the last week of the year, and if the filmmakers were hoping to take advantage of people heading to the movies for the holiday weekend, they were likely a little disappointed.

47 Ronin On Pace To Have One Of The Worst Debuts Of 2013
47 Ronin is currently on track to be one of the biggest under-performers of the year. Estimates say that through Sunday the film is expected to earn less than $20 million, which will make it the "worst debut for any $150 million-plus movie in 2013." Box office reports on Thursday said that the movie had only managed to make $3.4 million during the Christmas holiday, putting it sixth in the rankings.

Christmas Box Office: Wolf Of Wall Street And The Hobbit Fight It Out
Last weekend, The Hobbit: Desolation Of Smaug was able to spoil the debut weekend for Anchorman 2 by narrowly edging out a box office win. On Christmas, it may be able to deal the same Middle Earth blow to Leonardo Dicaprioís much-hyped Wolf Of Wall Street.

This Rotten Week: Predicting Wolf Of Wall Street, 47 Ronin, Walter Mitty And More Reviews
Well this is the big one. Christmas week is like, umm well, Christmas for moviegoers. Studios pump films on to the big screen knowing folks are on vacation and trying desperately to get away from their families. So they head to the theaters for a much-needed respite from holiday "cheer". Itís an extravaganza with wolves, Ronin, daydreamers, boxers and Beliebers.

47 Ronin Off To A Slow Start At The Japanese Box Office
Unfortunately, it doesnít look like Carl Rinschís Japanese historical fantasy 47 Ronin will be adding much to that total, at least not in Japan, where the film took in a mere $1.3 million from its premiere. On the one hand, you think it would be a major project there since itís based on a Japanese legend, but on the other hand, itís a completely ludicrous take on the legend which probably didnít appease everyone they intended.

December Movie Preview: From Middle Earth To Wall Street
The holiday season is officially upon us, observed less through Christmas decorations and cold weather and more by the onslaught of Oscar fare hitting theaters this month. December is always a truly great time for both quality dramas and big bombastic comedies, and this year wonít be bucking that trend.

Keanu Reeves Slices Up More Dragons And Masked Villains In 47 Ronin Trailer
While the adult in me was more interested to see Reeves in the martial arts-minded Man of Tai Chi, the 9-year-old inner child cannot wait to see Reeves fighting stone-wielding ogres and giant dragons, so long as I donít have to listen to him explaining anything. Plus, all those awesome locations. And fire. FIRE!

Keanu Reeves Is A Supernatural Martial Arts Savior In First 47 Ronin Trailer
Universal is releasing 47 Ronin on Christmas Day. As you can tell, from this first full trailer, it has touches of mysticism and spiritual warrior tones in telling the story on an exiled fighter (Reeves) called back into service against a team of deadly, magical beasts. By his side stand 47 ronin Ė or samurai Ė ready to reclaim the land that they lost.

A few hours ago I published my recap of the Bourne Legacy footage shown today during the Universal Pictures presentation at CinemaCon, but that was far from the only movie that the studio had on display at the convention. Over the course of two hours they showed off footage from every single film that remains on their 2012 calendar and beyond, including outrageous comedies and Oscar-hopeful dramas. And Iím here to tell you about them.

47 Ronin Gets A Start Date, Four New Japanese Cast Members
After spending so many years watching Keanu Reeves play the ass-kicking Jesus figure, he's somewhat fallen off the map. The actor's last major release was The Day The Earth Stood Still back in 2008, and while he has done projects since, they haven't been anywhere near the same scale.
