Assassin's Creed 3 King Washington DLC Trailer Introduces Beast Powers, Release Dates Announced
Today Ubisoft provided an update on The Tyranny of King Washington, the upcoming downloadable content for Assassin's Creed 3. They've released a new trailer and confirmed the release dates for the second and third episodes of the DLC campaign.
Tyranny of King Washington imagines what would've happened if the United States hadn't become a republic. In this alternate history, George Washington decides to become king of the new nation instead of its first president. Thanks to the piece of Eden in his possession, he's become mad with power and soon rules America as a tyrant.
The most interesting aspect of this alternate timeline is that Ratonhnhaké:ton has special abilities, apparently from his Mohawk heritage. Power of the Bear will allow him to attack enemies with "unimaginable strength." Power of the Eagle enables him to move swiftly. He can disappear completely and become the "ultimate predator" by utilizing the Power of the Wolf. These abilities will be supplemented by new weapons and a wolf companion.
King Washington will be released in three parts. The first part, "Infamy," will arrive on February 19th as previously announced. "Betrayal" and "Redemption" will debut on March 19th and April 23rd, respectively. These dates apply to the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC versions of the game. The campaign will come to the Wii U in time as well, but no dates were provided yet.
Each episode of King Washington can be purchased for $9.99. Alternately, you can buy the $29.99 Season Pass to get all three episodes as well as the Hidden Secrets and Battle Hardened DLC.
