Black Lion Announces Shadow Harvest - Screenshots Inside

Yesterday German developer Black Lion Studios announced that it was developing a "dual-character-shooter" called Shadow Harvest for Xbox 360 and PC. They expect to release the game in the first quarter of 2009.
The game is set in 2025, with players controlling two U.S. military operatives traveling worldwide to complete a variety of covert missions. Black Lion Studios hopes to differentiate Black Harvest from other action games featuring two-man teams (such as Kane & Lynch or Army of Two) by featuring two characters with radically different play styles. Players will have to use a combination of ISA agent Myra's stealth and Delta Force combat specialist Aron's heavy firepower to complete missions. And what would a duo be without some Odd Couple tension? Black Lion promises "witty yet snorty dialogues between the two agents." Hopefully it's a bit more sophisticated than the banter in Kane & Lynch ("Cover me!" "@#$% you!"). Ten bucks these two crazy kids hook up at some point (now that would be coop gameplay). While giving players a choice between stealth and brute force isn't anything new, and neither is two-player coop gameplay, the combination of the two is interesting and makes Shadow Harvest worth some curiosity. This is Black Lion Studio's first announced project since the Hannover-based developer was founded in the beginning of 2007. Image Gallery
