Dark Souls: Prepare To Die Edition Arriving For PC This August
After a lot of begging, petitioning and more begging, PC gamers will finally get to experience one of the most difficult action-RPGs released this generation, Dark Souls, the sequel to Demon's Souls.
The game was developed by FromSoftware for the Xbox 360 and PS3 and was published by Namco Bandai Games. It managed to secure a small, niche market of gamers who appreciated the difficulty and originality of the game. Namco had mentioned before that they would be willing to port the game to PC if there was enough fuss made over it, and earlier this year gamers created a petition to get Dark Souls ported over to PC.
Well, according to DSO Gaming [via NeoGaf], a German gaming magazine has revealed that the critically praised and highly difficult medieval-fantasy, action-RPG will be arriving this August for PCs.
The magazine, PC Action, details how the game will receive very minor updates and/or tweaks on the PC including two brand new bosses, as well as gamepad support. Other than that the game will be a 1:1 port of its console counterpart (more than likely the Xbox 360 version).
PC gamers who have wanted to see what all the fuss was about regarding this much talked about RPG will be able to do so later this summer. We'll keep you posted on additional details on the game when they become available.
