DarkEden Infested With Hackers; JoyMax Still Wants Your Money

Fly For Fun had some bad hacking problems. Back before when I used to play MMOs fervently it was one of the games where I experienced my account being hijacked. Games like TS Online, GunZ and Runscape have also undergone some form of hacking, among other MMOs. However, there is one MMO that generates revenue from cash shops and puts a bad name to MMO gaming in general; that game is DarkEden.

While SoftOn Entertainment may have developed the game, JoyMax is currently in charge of cash-shop and premium fees, as well as maintaining the servers for the international edition. The problem, however, is that anyone who unfortunately lays down any cash for a game like DarkEden will encounter some rather unpleasant gaming experiences, especially with lag caused mostly from hackers who can move as fast as a blur.

So what does this mean for players who pay to play the game? Well, if you’re a freebie I guess you get what you don’t pay for. However, for anyone who lays down any cash to repeatedly get killed by hackers, over and over again, you might think JoyMax is scamming gamers out of money.

A lot of players in a lot of MMOs have been hacking, especially with bots. To prevent this unfortunate matter from occurring, many MMO portals utilize Inca Internet’s nProtect GameGuard service. Even for most free-to-play MMOs, publishers usually invest a little in this service to ensure quality, fair gameplay.

However, despite player protest and complaints (i.e., and a few can be found here, here, here, here and here) JoyMax has ignored the players and continues to charge for cash shop and premium service while allowing hackers to run rampant throughout the game.

Basically, this is a word of warning to anyone who’s thinking about putting down some green for this game: don’t! If JoyMax wants to take your cash, they should at least offer gamers quality service for it…and by that, I mean implementing anti-hacking tools. This issue rings even louder than usual given that they have a premium event underway for paying gamers.
