A new Dungeon Siege III trailer was released by Square Enix today. It demonstrates that the game will be sticking to its hack-and-slash roots.

The trailer's very understated at first but really picks up around 0:40. We're treated to a series of clips of player characters ripping apart groups of enemies - skeletons, frog people, and so on. The trailer closes with a brief glimpse at a possible boss fight.

DS3 is in development at Neverwinter Nights 2 studio Obsidian Entertainment. They've pegged the game as a 2011 release for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.
