Back in February, BioWare revealed that they would release the patch for the PC version of Mass Effectby April. They may not achieve that goal, though.
"Work on the patch has gone very well. We should have a beta test of the patch in the next few weeks if everything goes smoothly," said community coordinator Chris Priestly on the Mass Effect forums on Sunday.
The April release date was sort of a ballpark estimate so it's technically not a delay. The patch is a collaboration between BioWare and Demiurge, the folks who ported the game to the PC. Mass Effect was released for the PC on May 28th and the way things are going, we could see the patch arrive around the one year anniversary.
