THQ and Volition have revealed the official release date for Saints Row: The Third with the official E3 2011 cinematic trailer. The trailer also reveals that the game could support four-player co-op story mode.

Saints Row 2 changed gaming with the created-character story mode that most other companies would be afraid to include an in open-world action title. It looks like Volition is aiming to push the boundaries even further with Saints Row: The Third, with the trailer hinting at a ton of mayhem with multiple characters all fighting to stay alive.
