The pre-vis footage at E3 2006 didn’t just turn heads when LucasArts let the video spill out to the media, it created a firestorm in video game journalism. Everyone was talking about the “next great Star Wars game”. Well, more info and more content for the latest Force Unleashed game has come about and you can view it with the first of these web documentaries.
Story and gameplay do factor in big time for franchise-related games. It’s a pivotal aspect of making sure that gamers are not only entertained while they press buttons and kick butt, but also while they’re giving their thumbs a rest and viewing the cinematics. That’s why this latest Star Wars game has been kept under wraps for so long; not only will this be a revolutionary Star Wars game for its force powers and physics systems, but also for one of the few elements in the history of Star Wars that ties together Episode 3 and Episode 4.
The web documentary explains the precursor for actually getting the game moving into the developmental phase. But that doesn’t mean it’s not entertaining. On the contrary my fellow man-nerds, this web-doc thoroughly gives some of the details on what we can expect – gameplay and story wise – for this upcoming Force Unleashed. With several years to hone in on how the game will be controlled and played – and more importantly how the force powers will be handled – this is easily one of the coolest looking games set to come out for the Xbox 360 and PS3. You can check out the web documentary below, courtesy of Gametrailers.

THis sounds like an awesome project. I think that it has alot of potential. I cant wait. The only thing I am worried about is that it is going to be like Battlefront 2. That game was awful. I remember Battlefront 1 which was cool, it was an easy pickc up and play, but part 2 was hard and the fun factor was not there. The Jedi's and there powers were not fun either. So hopefully they have stayed away from Battlefront 2 style game control.
