Oh, Warner Brothers, you were doing so well. All of the publicity surrounding Watchmen so far had been nothing short of amazing. Every picture has dazzled. The footage has left us hungering for more. Even the posters have been pretty cool… until now.
The final poster for Watchmen has been released and it’s pretty disappointing, coming dangerously close to being a floating head poster. Staged in what looks like the same rainy alley as the Rorschach poster, this one features all of the primary characters in poses we’ve seen them in before, photoshopped together in a pretty lame collage. Compared to the previous posters of The Comedian getting tossed out a window and Rorschach on the street, this feels so… weak.
At least the misfire is on the last piece of publicity. It’s not like this poster was going to make or break anyone’s decision to see the movie anyway. Still, it would have been nice to welcome the movie with one last bang instead of this whimper. Check out a version of the poster to the right, or head over to Yahoo!
