Clouded Trailer

By Joshua Tyler: 2004-09-02 00:00:00
Charlize Theron mildly bruised an unspecified body part this week filming Aeon Flux and the world jumped on it like President Bush had choked on another snack food. However Charlize isn’t following up her Oscar worthy performance in Monster with the re-imagining of an MTV action cartoon, nor is she getting ugly again.

Instead, she’s starring opposite the human drinking bird Penelope Cruz in Head in the Clouds. Directed by John Duigan it's a period drama that’ll no doubt be embraced by Mormons, and anyone that wouldn’t mind seeing Charlize spend more time dancing with women… or Stuart Townsend. The trailer is out, and features a lot of silly catchphrases like “Forced to choose between duty and passion, they chose both.” Bad narration aside it’s an interesting little romance flick with some very non-traditional romance ideas (which is always good). I’ll be keeping an eye out for it.
