Colin Farrell Tries Not To Return To His Gangster Ways In Trailer For London Boulevard
William Monahan is no stranger to the world of gangsters. After all, he did write The Departed, which not only won Martin Scorsese his first Best Director Oscar and took home Best Picture, but earned the writer the Best Adapted Screenplay award. But now he's trading the mean streets of Boston for the soggy streets of London. Monahan's directorial debut, London Boulevard, has been waiting for its American debut for a while now (it was released in November 2010 in the UK) but with its November 11th limited release date coming up, a new trailer for the movie has arrived.
Check it out below or in HD over on Yahoo! Based on the novel by Ken Bruen, the movie stars Colin Farrell as Mitchell, a man recently released from prison and trying to get his life going on the straight road. This life begins when he takes a job protecting a young, reclusive movie star (Kiera Knightly), but he soon finds both her and himself in serious danger when a ruthless gangster (Ray Winstone) tries to bring him back into the criminal world. The film also stars David Thewlis, Anna Friel, Ben Chaplin and Eddie Marsan. |
