Despicable Me International Trailer Goes Tarantino Style
It is still somewhat hard to get a grasp on exactly what Despicable Me is about. We know that the lead character is a super villain named Gru, that he has a bunch of yellow minions and...that's about it. The plot description says that three orphan girls try to convince Gru (voiced by Steve Carell) not to steal the moon, but that isn't really the story we've gotten so far. The first trailer features Gru stealing some of the wonders of the world, the second has him trying to break into the fortress of the number one super villain, and the third features the minions playing with a "Moo Cow Toy". In times like these we hope that the international trailers can give us more details. No such luck here.
Parodying the credits sequence of Reservoir Dogs (kind of strange for a kids movie), the newest clip, released by Times Online, sees Gru walking down a long, tube-like hallway joined by a few of his minions as George Baker's "Little Green Bag" plays. Just as things ended in the third trailer, the little yellow guys get a bit aggressive before they start fighting and Gru has to separate them. The characters seem cute and funny, but it sure would be nice to get a bit of context. Check out the trailer below. |
