I saw the last half of the trailer for Fat Albert last week when I stumbled late into a screening of something horrible. I’m not sure exactly which movie the screening was for, but since I haven’t seen anything good since Garden State back in mid-August, I feel confident in saying it was horrible… whatever it was. I promptly then forgot about the inconsequential Fat Albert trailer until Scott Gwin sent a sccop in to us this morning to tell me it was out at Apple.com.

The trailer isn’t the worst trailer I’ve seen this year, after all it doesn’t feature a transforming super-cab. It does however come close, by making Fat Albert rap, ride skateboards, and perhaps worst of all convince his gang to join him in a line dance. The weirdest moment comes when Fat Albert actually meets Bill Cosby, and then Bill Cosby drops dead from embarrassment, after realizing what a horrible movie he has wrought. Poor old Mr. Cosby. Should have made a movie about that Noah talking to god bit instead.
