First Poster For The Words, Starring Bradley Cooper
Bradley Cooper is largely known for his bigger blockbuster movies, like The Hangover or Wedding Crashers, but next week he is going indie and his next film, The Words, will be making its debut at the Sundance Film Festival. With the exception of a still that came out all the way back in late October, we actually haven't seen much from the project, which will be hunting for US distribution at the festival. While it may be a while before we see a trailer - as it may not get picked up, and even if it does could be months away from release - EW has premiered the first poster.
Check it out below or see it full size over on the magazine's website.
I love posters like this simply because they are so elegant. It's not a high-concept idea - the movie is called The Words and Bradley Cooper is drawn using words - but it's much more attractive than your standard floating-heads one-sheet and demonstrates just how lazy some marketing departments really are. The thriller stars Cooper as a struggling writer named Rory who can't seem to to come up with any new ideas. When his wife (Zoe Saldana) brings home an antique piece of luggage that she bought, he discovers that it contains a manuscript for a masterwork by a famous writer (Jeremy Irons). Rory decides to steal the work and becomes incredibly successful, but he can't even imagine the consequences that will come from his actions. The film also stars Dennis Quaid and Olivia Wilde and was written and directed by Brian Klugman and Lee Sternthal |
