Godzilla Set Video Reveals The First Shot Has Been Completed

Gareth Edwards may have started production on Godzilla in Vancouver, but that sure does look like a Japanese airport.

As we reported yesterday, the brand new take on the classic movie monster is finally underway, and as seen in the video above we know that at least one shot has been completed. Obviously there aren't too many details available as of yet, but pausing the video and looking at the signs does suggest that we are looking at the customs department in one of Japan's airports. Could the story begin with the film's main character heading off to a vacation in Asia?

The truth is that we know very little about the film's plot, but what we do know is that the movie has one absolutely stacked list of actors involved. Confirmed in a press release from Legendary Pictures, the cast of the epic action flick includes Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Juliette Binoche, Ken Watanabe, David Strathairn and Bryan Cranston. While multiple screenwriters have had their hands on the script, Frank Darabont, best known for directing The Shawshank Redemption and serving as the showrunner on the first season of The Walking Dead, did the most recent pass.

Now that production is finally underway and we can be assured that the movie is actually happening, what is it exactly that you hope to see from the new Godzilla? We've already heard that the film will be introducing some new monsters, but how would you like to see them folded into the story? Let us know all your thoughts, opinions and arguments in the comments section below!
