We’ve got the first trailer and a new poster for the would-be cult movie Jack Brooks Monster Slayer. It gets a limited release on August 1st, and if having as many monsters thrown at you as possible is your cup of tea, then Jack Brooks looks ready to deliver the fun. It’s a low budget horror flick, full of slime, tentacles, and even Robert Englund. No he’s not playing Freddy, but he does get to ooze.
Here’s the short version of the film’s official plot synopsis, followed by its monstrous new poster and trailer: Jack Brooks is an angry, young plumber who has repressed the memory of witnessing his family’s brutal murder. Only when he unknowingly awakens an ancient evil, is Jack forced to confront his past, deal with the monstrous reality of the present and discover the true purpose of his inner rage.

Looks like a bit of a cheesy take off on the Repairman Jack novels by F. Paul Wilson.
