Omen Domestic Trailer Manifests![]()
The nursemaid may say it’s all for Damien, but I’m still suspicious that Fox only green-lit the upcoming remake of The Omen to take advantage of the 6/6/06 release date. I mean, you only get that marketing opportunity once in a lifetime, but that’s still not a valid reason to remake a classic, especially if you aren’t going to improve upon it.
Well, the first domestic trailer has hit the internet, which is an improvement upon the international trailer that we reported a week ago or so if only because it’s a better download available in different sizes. What it isn’t an improvement upon is the original film. Much of the trailer is made up of images and phrases we’re already familiar with from the original Omen, but don’t seem to improve upon them. In fact, that nursemaid line, which is one of my favorite lines in cinematic history, is missing the love and devotion that made the original line so memorable. I’m growing less and less interested in this remake, but you should decide for yourself. Click here to visit our trailer page, with links to the new domestic first full trailer |
