The plundering of the Japanese horror market by Hollywood continues unabated.

This time Intermedia has teamed up with Kadakowa USA to produce an english-language version of horror movie One Missed Call. Kadakowa is the house responsible for the Ring, Grudge, Shall We Dance and upcoming Dark Water remakes.

One Missed Call contines the japanese horror fascination with turning our own technology and lifestyles against us. In it, a college student doesn't answer a random call on her cell-phone because she doesn't recognise the number. However, when she plays back the voicemail message left, the time stamp is three days in the future and the message is the sound of her own voice as she is being killed

Could actually be an interesting concept. Lets just hope they don't drop the ball.
