The first full length trailer for Chronicles of Riddick is here and it’s a nice improvement over the CGI-centric teaser they’ve been showing up till now. I first saw it a couple of weeks ago attached to some press screening. Let me tell you, it plays even better in a big theater with mind blowing sound.

The trailer really gives you a much better feel for what the movie’s about. It has that sci-fi epic feel that you just don’t seem to see much in movies anymore. It looks like it could be what we all had hoped Starship Troopers would be and then as it turned out wasn’t. It feels like Dune without the sand, had that novel ever been properly adapted into a decent movie.

I like it. Granted, I’m the guy who gave xXx five stars (I’ll never live that down), but Vin looks sharp. Back to basics to re-energize his career.
