Ready or not, Rocky Balboa is jumping back in the ring. The sixth and "final" installment of the underdog movie series, starring Sylvestor Stallone at the ripe old age of 60, is hitting theaters on December 22nd. So what if the guy qualifies for senior citizen discounts, he can still be a contender. Uh, right?
The always helpful YouTube has trailer footage from the new movie, pulled from TV's "Insider" entertainment show. You can check out the clip below:
In the video, Rocky is still slurring his words and buffing up. Only this time there is also mention of calcium deposits on most of his joints. "I ain't looking to get mangled and embarrassed," he says with a furrowed brow. Hmm, might be a bit too late for that one, Italian Stallion.

Damned if you do!
Damned if you don't!
Stallone adheres to the reality of an aged boxer and what a scenario would be, exploring it in the trailer of the body not being as strong as the will of the heart and he STILL gets cheap shots.
I for one, love the sneak official trailer and like so many in the world will be in Balboa's corner come release day and many more after that during it's theatrical run.
Sly will do what he did 30 years ago with the original classic.
Stun!
What bookends these will be to the greatest movie series of all time.
This is shaping up to be the end Rocky deserves. It's always been about the journey of one man - from finding the strength to fight for the first time and now for the last time.
The trailer shows the film will have some honesty and some humour, which the whole series (except the ridiculous Rocky 4) has had.
I can't wait.
Sly - go for it!
Due to all the crappy sequels most people tend to forget, but the first Rocky was a really excellent, well-written film. Right up there with "On The Watefront." I feel the same way about the first Rambo flick too, believe it or not. Some movies should not have sequels.
