The first time we ran a link to the Mr. & Mrs. Smith trailer I showered it with praise and expressed good feelings for the whole project in general. Then Fox slapped us upside the head for our kindness and we had to pretend a link to the trailer never existed. So excuse me if I hold back on the gushing this time. I’m gun shy.

But, the first trailer for Mr. & Mrs. Smith is back and available for downloading again. This time from an official source who probably paid Fox for the privilege of running their trailer, since marketing your movie has become almost as lucrative a cash cow as the movie itself. Internet sites like this one are to thank for it, but of course get none of the benefits of this new making money off of marketing industry.

Whatever. The movie has some nice potential. Rated R craziness, War of the Roses but with hotter actors, which is always good. After weeks of movies like SpongeBob, The Incredibles, and The Polar Express dominating our cinematic consciousness, it’s nice to stop down and think about something geared strictly for adults, adults who like shooting their spouses with guns.

Directed by the guy who made something great out of The Bourne Identity, Doug Liman, Mr. & Mrs. Smith hits theaters June 2005. Check out the trailer through the link below.
