Star Wars Blu-Ray Trailer Highlights Deleted Footage image
We're only a month or so away from the long-awaited release of the Star Wars films on Blu-ray, along with an array of bonus features and footage both new and old. In amongst the tons of audio commentary tracks and documentaries dissecting everything down to Chewbacca's preferred dandruff shampoo, we'll also have deleted scenes to look forward to. What will these relics from the Lucasfilm vaults include? Today we get our first glimpse at what to expect, courtesy of a new trailer for the set.

Aside from that kick-ass lightsaber logo, there's a lot of imagery without context. We've got Lando and Chewie wandering through a sandstorm. We've got R2 fleeing from a rather unfortunate-looking Wampa. We've got Luke fiddling with something on the back of his hand (maybe they flirted with a Logan's Run crossover?). It's definitely interesting, but from these brief snippets it's hard to tell just how substantial or noteworthy this footage will be. At the very least, this will be the definitive Star Wars release. At least until George finds more "lost" footage in one of his broom closets.
