While I left Sundance raving about The Wackness, CB’s own Kelly West came home gushing about a little movie called Hamlet 2. I missed watching it with her, because I had to spend 4 hours out waiting in the snow in order to see Morgan Spurlock’s Where in the World is Osama Bin Laden? God what a let down.
In her Sundance review of the film here Kelly says, “Between the cast’s performance of the original song, “Rock Me, Sexy Jesus” and the local gay choir’s rendition of Elton John’s "Someone Saved My Life Tonight", the play takes the level of greatness in the film from funny to hilarious and left me feeling great as I left the theater.” That sounds like something I have to see. Sadly though, the film’s newly released trailer is, unfortunately, not nearly as funny as Kelly’s description. I do however, plan to have about a dozen t-shirts printed up with the phrase "rock me sexy Jesus" on them.
Below we’ve got the very first trailer for Hamlet 2 for you. It’s a red band trailer, which means if you’re not over 18, you have no business clicking the play button. If you are over 18, take a look and let me know if you find any laughs in it:
