Karen Gillan And Stan Lee Posted An Awesome Avengers: Infinity War Set Photo

We're next set to see Karen Gillan reprise her role of Nebula in the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, but it didn't take her long to step back into Nebula's makeup. Gillan has already confirmed her involvement in the upcoming Infinity War movies, and she recently posted an excellent photo from the set, featuring her in makeup and posing with none other than Stan Lee. Check it out.

Avengers: Infinity War is currently in production, and Karen Gillan was able to take enough of a break--in full makeup face makeup at that--to take a quick pic with Marvel figurehead Stan Lee, who always figures out ways to be involved with Marvel productions. It's kind-of fascinating to see the actress looking so totally alien from the neck up and so totally human under the robe, but that's a different topic altogether.

If you didn't hear about Gillan's initial casting, it may seem a bit strange to see Karen Gillan playing Nebula in an Avengers film, but Infinity War is anticipated to have one of the biggest onscreen ensemble casts we've seen thus far. We don't know a ton about Karen Gillan's role in the upcoming story, but we do know the actress started filming for the gig in February.

We also know, just from comics related to the topic--and maybe some common sense--that Nebula should play a pretty interesting part in Infinity War. Thanos is anticipated to play a big part in the film, and Nebula is Thanos' daughter. In addition, in the Infinity Gauntlet storyline, she successful managed to take the Gauntlet from Thanos after he amassed the Infinity Stones and was a key part of the storyline that followed. Although we don't know at this point if Infinity War will follow the same total plotline, we do know that Thanos is on a quest for the Infinity Stones. To find out about what we can anticipate from Avengers: Infinity War take a look at our full what we know guide.

While production is already going down on the Russo brothers' movie, it'll still be a while before we see any actual footage from Avengers: Infinity War. The movie has already been scheduled by Marvel, but isn't going to premiere until May 4, 2018. In the meantime, there's a lot of Marvel content slated to hit theaters before then, including the aforementioned Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Thor: Ragnarok and Black Panther.
