Mindy McCready's Family And Friends Plan Memorial Services

It’s only been a few days since news broke that country singer Mindy McCready had committed suicide. The news was both shocking and sad for fans and friends alike. While the country singer had suffered from personal problems in the past, she had seemed to be doing better in recent weeks and her death was a huge loss in her community. Now, things are coming together for a variety of memorial services for the deceased starlet.

On Tuesday, McCready’s family will hold a private showing for those closest to the singer. According to USA Today the mother of two young boys will be laid to rest by her family in her hometown, Fort Myers, Florida. The service will be held at the Crossroads Church. Additionally, friends and confidantes are also holding a service in Nashville in the coming weeks. Currently, that event is tentatively scheduled for March 6 at the Cathedral of the Incarnation.

It’s always tragic when someone who has dealt with numerous problems eventually gives in to their pain, and in McCready’s case, the added fact that she was a mother really does tug at the heartstrings.
