Director Nora Ephron Might Not Make It Through The Night

Writer/ director Nora Ephron is reportedly very ill and may not make it through the night. The seventy-one-year-old who may or may not be suffering from cancer has been silent on her health over the past few years, but after her longtime associate and good friend Liz Smith posted an article that reads like an obituary this morning, concerned fans began flooding the Internet trying to figure out what was going on.

According to TMZ, Ephron is still alive, but those closest to the director do not expect her to recover. She’s currently being held at an undisclosed location, and friends and family are at her side.

Always a cheerful woman, at her best, Ephron could turn any situation into an amusing joke and a reason to smile. She loved life, comedy, romance and happy endings. All indications are this finale will conclude with a few tears, but ideally, it should be filled with some laughs too as those who knew her best reminisce about all the joy she brought to their lives.

Pop Blend’s thoughts go out to Ephron and her entire family in this sad moment of need. Regardless of what happens, her beloved films like Sleepless In Seattle and You’ve Got Mail will continue to amuse and inspire for generations to come.
