Valentino Reveals Sketch For Anne Hathaway's Wedding Dress

At the end of last month, actress Anne Hathaway was married to her longtime boyfriend Adam Shulman. The wedding was planned for months, but was a surprise ceremony to anyone who didn’t make the guest list. Prior to the September 30th ceremony, famed designer (and Hathaway’s friend), Valentino, owned up to being the creator of her beautiful, fluffy wedding gown, and now we have the sketch that made the gorgeous dress possible.
E! is the outlet that recently procured the sketch. The picture shows a design replete with small beaded clusters in intricate patterns and featuring piles of frothy tulle made from silk. The dress design has a lot of body, which probably looked perfect on Hathaway’s thin frame, and even features a matching veil. According to the sketch, the veil has a giant flower and a vintage look. After Valentino created the design, seamstresses in the Rome couture atelier put the look together for the actress.
The flower veil, especially, should have fit in perfectly with the rustic look of the wedding, which was held on a property in Big Sur, California. Way back last December, Valentino intimated he would be happy to provide a dress design, and it’s nice to see he maintained a level of commitment to the project and created a great design for one of Hollywood’s biggest stars, and one of his good friends.
