With just two episodes left for Dexter, what will "Monkey in the Box" have to offer? A choice, for one thing. Oftentimes, by the time we get to the end of a season of Dexter, the lead character has his target locked and it's just a matter of how he'll take them down, but this time around, it seems Dexter has the opportunity to walk away. Will he take it? The preview for "Monkey in the Box" hints that a storm is coming, both literally and figuratively.
There are just two episodes left and then it's all over for Dexter, for better or worse. Who will make it out of this series alive? Last night's episode eliminated one name from that list, and the new preview teases danger for other characters, thanks in large part to the presence of Oliver Saxon.
If there's a lesson to be learned from tonight's episode of Dexter, it's that exercise is dangerous. Just ask Harrison or that cyclist who became the victim of road rage. Then again, sitting down isn't and enjoying some tea may be hazardous to a person's wellbeing too, so maybe there's no winning for anyone on this series. Spoilers if you haven't seen tonight's episode of Dexter ("Goodbye Miami")!
With just three episodes left of Dexter, it may be safe to say that no one is safe. In fact, the preview for this Sunday night's episode, titled "Good-bye Miami" hints at what could be major devastation. Is the teaser just teasing us? Or is that shot of Dexter clutching a bloody figure after the Oliver Saxon tells Dexter he wants to show him something an indication that something major is coming? And the sight of Saxon presumably sawing into someone, is that a trick?
The clock is running out on Dexter, and with just three episodes left, Showtime has released an intense new trailer for what's ahead for the series, not only in next Sunday night's episode, but in the two that follow. Read no further if you're not caught up on Dexter through last night's "Make Your Own Kind of Music"!
Just when I think I have this mystery with Evelyn Vogel all figured out, more information comes in to tell me that I'm wrong. Or am I? Even after what we learned tonight, I still don't trust her. Tonight's episode managed to squeeze in some extremely relevant history about Charlotte Rampling's character, which offers what appears to be some major set-up for whatever's to come next.
Things seemed to be going a little too well for Dexter and his friends during last night's episode. We should have anticipated a shocker-ending, and we got one. With just four episodes to go in the series, we're left to wonder how this story's going to wrap up.
It seems somewhat relevant to point out that tonight's episode of Dexter is the first of the final five episodes of the season and series. It's at this point that the series should be gearing up for the home stretch, and watching "Are We There Yet," I couldn't help but wonder when we'd start to see that.
Episode 8! We're close to the home stretch of final episodes, not only for the season but for the series, and things are certainly starting to heat up. There are a couple of outside factors that could play a fairly huge role in Dexter's life right now. Dr. Vogel is a big one, and then of course, there's Hannah and Zach, both of whom are featured in the above promo.
Are Dexter and Zach a match made in heaven, or is this mentor/apprentice match-up a recipe for disaster? I've been leaning toward the latter since Dexter cut the plastic wrap off of Zach and tonight's episode did nothing to reverse my theory that Zach's too far gone to be mentored.
We're headed into the second half of the season for Dexter, and if past seasons are any indication, by this point we should be seeing the overall plot of the season begin to really take shape. All signs point to Zach Hamilton being at the center of that, as Dexter attempts to take the kid under his wing and be his mentor, or his "Harry."
Is Zach Hamilton the next Dexter? That's a question that remains to be answered during the final season of Dexter. It was really only just posed during Sunday night's episode - if you're not caught up, consider yourselves spoiler-warned! - as Dexter stalked the young murderer and plotted to kill him before eventually deciding to take the lad under his wing and be his Harry.
Spoilers if you haven't seen tonight's episode of Dexter ("A Little Reflection"). Should we have seen the end of tonight's episode of Dexter coming? I'm thinking no. Looking back through the episode, I can't think of any hints that would have clued us in to where things were heading in the final moments of the episode.
The Television Critics Association summer panel is in full swing, and on Tuesday, Showtime President David Nevins teased the possibility of a potential Dexter spinoff hitting the subscription cable network sometime in the future. Dexter is currently airing its eight and final season on the network and while Dexter Morganís current storyline may be close to spent, there could still be room for more fodder in the future.
What seemed like an unrelated situation appears to be getting a lot more related. I'm referring to Zach Hamilton, the potential murderer introduced during last Sunday night's episode of Dexter. It was looking like Zach might be Dexter's next mark. But the preview for this Sunday's "A Little Reflection" suggests Zach will be connected to Dexter in a much bigger way, as it looks like he's a patient of Dr. Vogel's. And - bigger spoiler - she's considering introducing the code to Zach.
