PS4 Backward Compatibility Arrives Via Gaikai In 2014
Today it was revealed that the PlayStation 4 will have some measure of backwards compatibility via the Cloud. Sony will bring select “critically acclaimed” PlayStation 3 games to the PlayStation 4 via Gaikai, as reported by Siliconera.
Sony Has Sold 2.1 Million PS4 Units
The PlayStation 4 has officially sold through more than 2.1 million stock keeping units. The fourth generation PlayStation home entertainment console is now approximately halfway to catching up to the Wii U, which is the current market setter and title holder as the eighth-gen sales leader.

A few days after picking up my launch PlayStation 4, my shiny new machine found itself being boxed up and sent back to Sony for a replacement unit, the unfortunate victim of an extremely loud fan. Now that I’ve received said replacement, I’m at least somewhat pleased with the end result. Sony just pulled back the curtain on its December PlayStation Plus lineup, and the next 30 days promise to be a month dedicated to shooting skags and going really, really fast. There's nothing currently listed for the PlayStation 4 at this time in the Instant Game Collection but, given the December lineup of five free titles, I don't know how anyone could complain about that.
