First Look At Thor's Hall Of Asgard

A new image from Marvel’s Thor was released today in the LA Times and gives us our first look at the Hall of Asgard, home of the Norse Gods. It’s kind of like Olympus, only with a lot more feasting. But in addition to showing us our first expanded look at the world of Valhalla, it also provides the first shot of Loki in his horned helmet (on the far left side); Frigga, Thor's mother played by Rene Russo (next to Loki); and Hogun the Grim (Tadanobu Asano) and Fandral the Dashing (Josh Dallas) on the far right. In the center is Odin, played by Anthony Hopkins, standing at his thrown with Hemsworth kneeling before him.

Take a look:

It actually compares pretty well with this photo from the Thor comics on which the movie’s based:

The main difference between the images would seem to be that the first one looks like something that fell out of a pornographic remake of Flash Gordon and the second one looks like a place that might actually exist in mythology.
