The Pacific's Joe Mazzello Joins Justified For Season 4 image
Joe Mazzello's face may be familiar to those of us who've seen Jurassic Park and Radio Flyer, two early-90s films that featured the child star prominently. In more recent years, the actor has begun to make a name for himself once again with roles in The Social Network and HBO's The Pacific. And coming up, we'll see him in on FX's Justified.

Deadline reported the news, stating that Mazzello is been cast for a multi-episdoe arc on Jusified, an FX drama that follows U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens as he attempts to enforce the law in Harlan County. Mazzello will play the role of "Preacher Billy, a preacher who has saved the lives of drug addicts." No other information was given, but by that description, it seems like he's a good guy, unless there's something sinister about him that hasn't been mentioned. The fourth season of Jusified is expected to premiere on FX in January 2013.

Mazzello's recent work includes playing Mark Zuckerberg's college pal Dustin in The Social Network. He also played the role of Eugene Sledge, one of the lead characters in HBO's Band of Brothers-follow-up miniseries The Pacific. And during the earlier years of his career, he played the abused younger brother to Elijah Wood's character in Radio Flyer, and then in 1993, was on the run from dinosaurs in Jurassic Park. Mazzello may not be a household name (yet, anyway), but he's a talented actor with some notable credits and a familiar face, so this is a great bit of casting news for Justiifed. It should be interesting to see what he brings to the role and how his character factors into the story.
